When are you hoping to release your CD and where can we find out more?
We are planning to release our fist CD, Minute to Midnight close to the end of this year. Updates and more information will be available at hi5 or myspace. Anyone interested in being on our mailing list can email us at m2m@minutetomidnight.com.

Who are the members of Minute to Midnight and where are you originally from?
The members of Minute to Midnight are from all parts of the country and came together by way of Oakwood College in Huntsville, AL. LaTonia is from the Mile High City, Denver, Colorado; Joy is from San Diego, California; Glenda comes by way of the Sunshine State, West Palm Beach, Florida and Nichola is our Canadian sister all the way from Toronto, Ontario.

The name of your group is striking, when people ask you what it means, what do you say?
It took us a long time to come up with a name suitable for our ministry that did more than just describe our sound or us as individuals. One day it just came to us; 11:59, one Minute to Midnight. Many people we encounter do not know what it means and it causes them to ask the question. This then gives us the opportunity to share the good news about the nearness of Christ's second coming.

What inspired you to make your first recording and what was that experience like?
We were encouraged to start writing our own music by a young man who would play for us occasionally. We began singing these songs during service at our home church New Life in Huntsville, AL. The pastor at that time, H.L. Cleveland, and members of the congregation liked the songs so much they encouraged us to record them. They also helped to raise the funds necessary for the project. None of this would have been possible without their encouragement and support.

Music ministry is never a walk in the park, are there any Bible promises that have become more real to you while working towards your goals?
Music ministry can be difficult at times. Though we love to sing and to have the opportunity to uplift others with our music, there has been much weeping, crying and prayer. We've endured many things while trying to complete this project and would get very discouraged at times. Our assurance came in the confidence that he who had begun a good work in us would perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Phil. 1:6). We had to believe that if we stayed faithful He would see this thing through to the end.

What are some of the ways that your families and friends have helped support your music ministry? Recording and traveling to sing at various places takes a lot of time. Much of that time is spent away from our families. Because they support us and believe in what we are doing they have given us that time with little or no complaint. That kind of support is invaluable!

As a group, what are some of your short and long terms goals?
Our short term goal is the long awaited release of our first CD Minute to Midnight. We are currently working toward our long term goal of being able to do this full time. What better job can you think of than one you love to do more than anything and one that allows you to further the cause of Christ!

What is something that you are looking forward to in heaven?
We've all lost loved ones to death during our time together. Two of us have lost parents. We look forward to being reunited with them in Heaven.

Writing Christian music has a way of causing you to take a close look at yourself. Often what you see is not pretty. The thing we look forward to the most is meeting the one who loves us deeply in spite of those things and who died to meet us face to face, our Lord, Savior and Lover of our souls Jesus Christ. God is good!
